Next-Generation Integrated Hydrogen Energy System

A next-generation hydrogen system integrating production, storage, conversion and utilization.

CHALLENGE

Challenge

Hydrogen technologies must connect production, storage, conversion, and utilization into one efficient system.

RESEARCH GOAL

Research Goal

Build an integrated hydrogen energy research platform spanning materials, catalysts, systems, and validation.

RESEARCH PROGRAM

Research Focus

<p>CP2 advances a next-generation hydrogen energy system that integrates the full cycle of hydrogen production, storage, conversion and utilization. It integrates and advances core technologies such as high-activity catalysts, hybrid storage media, ammonia-based conversion, and direct fuel-cell coupling systems, while combining AI-based computational chemistry and autonomous experimentation platforms to transform both the precision and scalability of hydrogen research.

CP2 aims to establish a next-generation hydrogen energy platform that integrates the entire cycle of hydrogen production, storage, conversion and utilization into one organically connected system. Moving beyond the simple aggregation of individual component technologies, CP2 takes a systems-level approach to maximize interconnectivity and efficiency across the full hydrogen energy chain. Its major research areas encompass high-activity and high-efficiency catalysts, hybrid hydrogen storage media, ammonia-based hydrogen conversion systems, and direct fuel-cell coupling systems, as well as electrode, catalyst, and electrolyte materials, MOF-based hydrogen storage materials, PEC multiscale systems, and PV-catalyst materials and process technologies.
