IMMS Analytical Facility

IMMS Analytical Facility is the central characterization and measurement hub of the Institute for Multiscale Matter and Systems (IMMS), providing advanced analytical infrastructure to support reliable, quantitative, and reproducible research. The facility is designed to enable high-quality materials and device characterization through shared instrumentation and expert-driven analysis, serving both internal researchers and external collaborators.

IMMS PLATFORM

Reliable, quantitative, and reproducible analysis — shared across the institute.

The IMMS Analytical Facility serves as the core analytical infrastructure within the IMMS research framework, supporting materials and device research through advanced characterization, precision measurement, and data-driven analysis. By providing centralized access to high-performance analytical instruments and standardized measurement protocols, the facility ensures reliability and reproducibility across diverse research activities.

The facility is being developed in a phased manner, beginning with the establishment of near-infrared emission characterization capabilities, followed by the continuous expansion of advanced analytical equipment. This strategic development enables comprehensive analysis across multiple length and time scales, supporting IMMS Technical Groups and Core Projects in addressing complex scientific and technological challenges.

Operating under an open-access model, the IMMS Analytical Facility is available not only to IMMS researchers but also to academic institutions, industry partners, and research organizations. Through external utilization and collaborative projects, the facility contributes to knowledge transfer, industrial innovation, and sustainable operation through analytical service-based revenue generation.

More than a shared instrumentation space, the IMMS Analytical Facility functions as an integrated analysis platform where measurement, interpretation, and collaboration converge. By providing reliable analytical foundations, the facility accelerates research validation, enhances data quality, and strengthens the overall research ecosystem of IMMS.
