Technical Groups (TG) form the core foundation of IMMS research, serving as the structural basis of a problem-driven convergence research platform that integrates the entire research cycle from fundamental science at the atomic and molecular scale to system-level implementation.
Research Framework
They enable a seamless transition in which expertise, analytical infrastructure, and devices are reused across projects, while maintaining technological autonomy independent of any single project's lifecycle.
Technical Groups (TG) constitute the core long-term research pillars that enable IMMS's problem-driven research. Each TG specializes in a distinct functional area, while collectively forming a structured cycle that integrates the entire research cycle from fundamental discovery to autonomous experimentation.
RESEARCH CAPABILITIES
TG1-TG5 are long-term capability groups. They keep materials discovery, computation, characterization, device implementation, and autonomous experimentation connected across Core Projects and shared platforms.
