JUSUNG KIM is a Professor in the Department of Intelligent Semiconductor Engineering at Ewha Womans University, South Korea. He received his B.S. degree (with highest honors) in electrical engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, in 2006, and his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, in 2011.
In 2008, Dr. Kim began his career as an analog IC design engineer at Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX, where he contributed to the design of RF front-ends for multi-standard analog and digital TV silicon tuners. From 2011 to 2015, he worked at Qualcomm Technologies Inc. in San Diego, CA, designing RFIC products for 2G-4G+ cellular systems. Following this, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Electronics Engineering at Hanbat National University from 2015 to 2025, where he was the founding member and Head of the Intelligent Nano Semiconductor Engineering Department.
Since March 2025, Dr. Kim has been leading the Signal Processing on Analog & Radio-Frequency Communication (SPARC) Lab at Ewha Womans University. His research interests encompass broadband wireless links in RF and millimeter-wave frequency regimes, device noise and non-linearity analysis, and the design and fabrication of low-power integrated circuits and systems for communication, analog signal processing, cryogenic CMOS, and quantum sensing.
Dr. Kim has held editorial roles, serving as an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II-Express Briefs from 2014 to 2015 and as a guest editor for several special issues of IEEE journals. He has been a member of the Analog and Signal Processing Technical Committee (ASPTC) since 2018, currently serving as the secretary of the IEEE CASS Daejeon Chapter and treasurer of the SSCS Seoul Chapter. He has also contributed to the Technical Program Committee for the IEEE Latin America Symposium on Circuits and Systems (LASCAS) and the IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems (ICECS).
Dr. Kim is a member of the IEEE, the Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), and the ASPTC TC, contributing significantly to the advancement of his field through both research and professional service.
