Four flagship projects driving IMMS innovation
Core Projects (CP) are problem-driven research initiatives designed to address national and global scientific challenges through coordinated, multidisciplinary collaboration. In Phase I (2025–2028), IMMS launches four Core Projects that integrate multiple Technical Groups.
Core Projects
Core Projects represent the central mechanisms through which IMMS integrates distributed across the institute's research capabilities and addresses pressing societal challenges. Each CP is configured as a problem-driven research consortium operating across multiple Technical Groups, with strategic objectives, multi-year roadmaps, and explicit collaboration models for academia and industry.
PROBLEM-DRIVEN MISSIONS
Core Projects focus IMMS capabilities on strategic problems. Each project draws on TG expertise and shared platforms while remaining flexible as a project-based temporary group.

PHASE II AND BEYOND
Phase II Core Projects (2029–) will be designed in response to emerging research opportunities, evolving national strategic priorities, and the changing global landscape. The selection of Phase II CPs will be informed by results from Phase I, stakeholder consultation, and ongoing reviews of national and international strategic agendas.
